KFC Uganda has rewarded winners of its #IAmStreetwise campaign with an adventure trip to Extreme Adventure Park Busiika, following a social media competition that challenged customers to share their experiences enjoying the restaurant’s Streetwise meals.

The campaign invited customers to create and share photos or videos of themselves enjoying Streetwise 2 or Streetwise 3 meals, with the post attracting the highest engagement standing a chance to win the adventure experience.

To participate, customers were required to purchase a Streetwise meal at a KFC restaurant or through the KFC Delivery App, post their content on social media, tag KFC Uganda, use the hashtag #IAmStreetwise and challenge two friends to participate.

The winning entry earned its creator an opportunity to visit Extreme Adventure Park Busiika, offering a recreational experience beyond the restaurant.

According to KFC Uganda, the campaign was designed to recognise customers who participated by sharing their Streetwise moments and engaging their social media communities.

Seela Khalayi, Country Manager of KFC Uganda, said the initiative was intended to celebrate customers and give them an opportunity to enjoy experiences beyond their favourite meals.

“At KFC Uganda, we believe our customers are at the heart of everything we do. Through the #IAmStreetwise campaign, we wanted to celebrate the everyday hustlers who choose KFC by allowing them to enjoy an experience beyond their favourite meals,” Khalayi said.

She thanked participants for sharing their content and involving friends in the campaign, adding that the initiative was intended to create memorable experiences for customers.

The competition centred on the everyday routines of people balancing work, business, education and other responsibilities, using social media participation to connect the Streetwise menu with an opportunity to win an outdoor adventure.

By requiring participants to tag the brand, use a campaign hashtag and challenge friends, the initiative also encouraged user-generated content and interaction among customers’ online communities.

The Busiika trip marked the culmination of the competition, with the winners receiving an experience linked to their participation in the campaign.

KFC Uganda’s #IAmStreetwise campaign combines food and social media engagement, using customer-created content as the basis for a competition that rewards participation with an experience outside the restaurant.
