Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate Nathan Nandala Mafabi on Thursday took his campaign trail to Buyende District, where he pledged to prioritize road construction and improved service delivery if elected in 2026.
Addressing supporters at Bukungu landing site on the shores of Lake Kyoga, Mafabi said his government would protect fishing communities and guarantee them free access to the lake.
“Just as God gave the Bagisu fertile soils to grow coffee, He gave you this lake as a source of survival. You must carry out your activities freely,” Mafabi told residents.
The FDC flag bearer also promised interest-free loans for boda boda riders, saying this would “end the exploitation” of the transport community.
In Kidera Subcounty, FDC party president Patrick Oboi Amuriat rallied voters to support Mafabi, announcing that every village under an FDC government would receive shs100 million to boost household incomes.
Mafabi urged Buyende residents to back his candidacy.
“Please give me your votes so that I can deliver all that we have planned. Everything in our manifesto is possible—we only need your mandate.”
Nandala Mafabi is today, Friday, heading to Jinja City for his fifth day of campaigns.
