Njuki, who previously served as the Association’s Vice Chairman, replaces Jackie Tahakanizibwa of Uganda Breweries Limited following elections held during the UAIA 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA) headquarters in Kampala.
He will be deputized by M.S. Reddy from Premier Distillery.
Other members elected to the board include Sheila Sabune from Uganda Breweries Limited, Micah Musabe from Vicland Distributors, Prudence Ukonika from K-Roma Ltd, Patrick Pillay from Kakira Distillers, and Raghavendra Reddy from Blue Nile Distillery.
In his acceptance speech, Njuki commended the outgoing leadership for their significant role in shaping Uganda’s alcohol industry and pledged to continue strengthening engagement with regulators, industry players, and stakeholders.
“I commend the outgoing leadership for their significant contributions to the growth and stability of the alcohol industry in Uganda,” Njuki said. “Their work has laid a strong foundation for us to build upon.”
He also expressed appreciation for the tireless efforts of his predecessors in advocating for favorable legislation and responsible alcohol practices.
The UAIA was established in 2006 and brings together manufacturers of alcoholic beverages and other key stakeholders in the industry.
The association seeks to align the interests of its members, promote responsible alcohol consumption, and advocate for effective regulatory frameworks.
