The Minister for ICT and National Guidance has appointed Nyombi Thembo as the new Executive Director for Uganda Communications Commission.
Thembo was appointed for a five-year term starting December, 1, 2023 to replace Eng. Irene Kaggwa who has been serving in acting position since 2020 when then ED Godfrey Mutabazi completed his 10 year tenure.
Thembo previously served as State Minister for ICT .
Prior to his appointment, he has been serving as the senior planning and development officer for Uganda Communications Universal Services Access Fund formerly known as Rural Communications Development Fund.
