Police in Kampala have started investigating circumstances under which a prmary six pupil went missing from Savio Junior School, Kisuib, in Wakiso district.
Victor Katungi, 12 went missing last week from the school under mysterious circumstances.
According to preliminary reports, he was last seen at around 8:00 p.m. on the night of his disappearance.
It is alleged that earlier that evening, the 12 year old had a disagreement with his class teacher, regarding his Term One mathematics results, which he believed had been under-marked.
He was reportedly instructed to go to the dormitory to collect his mathematics script. That was the last time he was seen.
This website has separately learnt that the pupil is suspected to have jumped over the fence at around 9pm and left.
The school administration reported the matter to Kisubi Police Station on Friday under reference number Ref: 12/24/04/2026, prompting an immediate investigation.
On Monday, a joint security team led by Entebbe Division Police Commander Moses Musinguzi Karakire visited St. Savio Junior School and inspected the school’s surveillance systems as part of ongoing efforts to establish the circumstances surrounding the pupil’s disappearance.
The child’s family is distressed and has appealed to the public for any information that could lead to his whereabouts.

The Minister of State for Children and Youth Affairs, Balaam Barugahara, has also called upon the public to assist in locating the missing boy and has pledged a reward for credible information leading to his safe return.
