The Church of Uganda has elected Rev. Canon Associate Prof. Dr. Grace Lubaale as the fourth Bishop of Busoga Diocese, the House of Bishops announced today at the Lweza Training and Conference Centre.
Dr. Lubaale will be consecrated and enthroned on December ,14, 2025 at Christ’s Cathedral in Bugembe, Jinja.
His election marks a significant milestone for the diocese, bringing new leadership to guide the spiritual and administrative affairs of the Church in the region.
The Church congratulated Canon Grace Lubaale and the people of Busoga Diocese on this historic appointment, praising it as a moment of unity and continued growth in ministry.
The new Bishop is expected to continue strengthening pastoral care, community engagement, and faith-based initiatives within the diocese.
