The Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU) has confirmed that the 9th edition of the PRAU Excellence Awards will take place on December 4th, 2025, at Protea Hotel Kampala, starting at 5:00 PM.
This year’s ceremony will be held under the theme “Recognising Innovation and Impact in Public Relations.”
Established to celebrate outstanding achievements in Uganda’s Public Relations sector, the PRAU Excellence Awards honour individuals, organisations, and professionals who continue to demonstrate excellence, creativity, and integrity in PR and communication practice.
Speaking during a press conference, PRAU President Irene Nakasiita highlighted the awards as a crucial platform for elevating PR standards in Uganda. She noted that the event celebrates brand custodians and PR practitioners who apply strategic communication to build strong narratives and enhance their organisations’ reputations.
Nakasiita said the PRAU Awards are implemented under the Association’s five-year strategic plan, guided by two major objectives: contributing to the professionalism and regulation of PR practice in Uganda through high ethical and professional standards, and strengthening the value proposition for PRAU members.
She emphasized that PRAU’s vision is to build a community of Public Relations practitioners who uphold the highest standards of practice in the country.
She added that the awards demonstrate the significant impact of Public Relations on organisational growth, national development, and sustainability. Nakasiita extended appreciation to all partners who have consistently supported PRAU’s mission.
She also encouraged PR practitioners and professionals who value the craft to purchase tickets and participate in celebrating the industry’s achievers.
Tickets are priced at shs250,000 for PRAU members and shs300,000 for non-members. Students will pay shs100,000, a fee applicable to both members and non-members. A corporate table for ten will be offered at shs3 million.
