Uganda Baati Limited, a member of the Safal Group and one of Uganda’s leading manufacturers of roofing and building solutions, has appointed seasoned marketing professional Timothy Luzinda as its new Marketing Manager, effective August 2025.
With more than 18 years of experience in marketing, brand management, and commercial leadership, Luzinda brings a wealth of expertise to the role, largely drawn from his career in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.

During his 15-year tenure at CBL, he oversaw the introduction of Mountain Dew, Sting Energy Drink, and Aquafina Water, while also repositioning Pepsi Cola in the Ugandan market. Notably, his “Forever Connected” returnable glass bottle campaign generated shs21 billion in revenue.
Before joining Uganda Baati, Luzinda worked as a Sales and Marketing Consultant at Wavah Water Limited, where he led a comprehensive business system audit, rolled out indirect distribution channels, and supported the launch of an affordable water brand.
He began his career in advertising with MCL McCann and ZK Advertising, managing campaigns for major brands such as Celtel Uganda, Standard Chartered Bank, and Uganda Breweries Limited.
Luzinda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Makerere University and is a certified member of the Uganda Marketers Society (UMS 110).
Uganda Baati says Luzinda’s appointment reflects its commitment to strengthening marketing as a key growth driver.
The company has been expanding through a robust route-to-market strategy, product diversification, and customer-focused innovation.
