Veteran singer, David Sifayo, popularly known as Master Parrot, famous for his hit song Muliro, has died following a road accident on Monday evening.
Reports indicate that the singer was struck by a speeding motorcycle while attempting to cross the Northern Bypass in the Masanafu area of Kampala.
However, details about the accident are still scanty while authorities are yet to issue a statement about the same.
Master Parrot was one of Uganda’s most celebrated musicians in the late 1990s and early 2000s, earning widespread recognition through hit songs such as Maama Wabaana, Muliro, and Ekikompola, among others.

He was one of the pioneering members of Firebase Crew founded by Bobi Wine.
While he quit Firebase Crew, he would later in 2017 return to the group and he launched his comeback with a remix of Muliro with Mickie Wine.
Parrot’s death marks the loss of one of Uganda’s notable music talents whose songs helped shape the country’s contemporary music scene.
