Pearl Bank Uganda’s digital wallet, Wendi, has partnered with TotalEnergies Marketing & Services (M&S) to simplify customer payments at all Total fuel stations across Uganda.
The partnership allows customers to pay for fuel, gas, car services, and in-store purchases at Total stations using the Wendi mobile wallet.
Transactions can range from a minimum of shs500 to a maximum of shs5 million per transaction, while individual wallet balances are capped at shs20 million. Merchant wallet balances have no limit. Enrollment of dealer stations is ongoing and expected to be completed by the end of November 2025.
Speaking at the launch, Peter Ssenyange, Chief Financial Officer at Pearl Bank Uganda highlighted how Wendi continues to be an innovative solution that enables access to digital financial services anywhere and at any time
“Wendi is here to support Ugandans in their day-to-day transactions. Through this partnership with TotalEnergies, we are making payments fast, secure, and convenient.”
He also highlighted that Wendi users earn 10% per annum on wallet savings, encouraging a culture of financial resilience among Ugandans.
Customers can make payments by scanning the merchant QR code or entering the Wendi merchant code, then confirming the transaction with their PIN. First-time users can access Wendi via USSD (*229#) or the Wendi Mobile Wallet App, completing registration with their national ID and personal credentials.
