Bobi Wine’s photographer, Andrew Natumanya, popularly known as Tabz, has alleged that he was stripped naked and photographed while in detention.
In a post on X, Tabz claimed that his captors warned him against releasing what they described as classified information from a certain office.
He said he was threatened that the photographs taken during his detention would be published if he continued exposing such information.
“During detention, I was stripped naked, photographed, and warned that if I ever release classified information from a certain office again, the photos will be published. So brace yourselves because I’m not about to stop,” he wrote.
Natumanya maintained that the threats would not deter him from speaking out against corruption and advocating for a better Uganda.
“And if you think you scared me and that my fight for a better Uganda we all want to see will be weakened, then you’re super dumb to even have a grain of that thought,” he added.
Tabz was reportedly picked up from Kamwokya on June 18 and held in an undisclosed location for several days.
On June 22, he was transferred to Central Police Station (CPS) Kampala, where he was later released on police bond.
His allegations come at a time when many Ugandans are questioning his immediate release, with some expressing doubts about his loyalty to Bobi Wine.
