Airtel Uganda Limited has announced a proposed final dividend of Shs142 billion for the financial year ended December 31, 2025, signaling continued returns to shareholders.
In a public notice issued in accordance with the Uganda Securities Exchange (USE) Listing Rules, 2025, the telecom company said its Board of Directors recommended the dividend on February 20, 2026. The proposed payout is subject to approval by shareholders.
The notice, issued by Company Secretary Godfrey Bakibinga on behalf of the Board, stated that the dividend amounts to Shs3.55 per share.
“Notice is hereby given that on 20 February 2026, the Board of Directors of Airtel Uganda Limited recommended, for shareholders’ approval, a final dividend of Shs142bn representing Shs3.55 per share, for the financial year ended 31 December 2025,” the statement read.
According to the company, the dividend will be paid on or before April 29, 2026, after the deduction of applicable withholding tax.
The firm set April 8, 2026, as the book closure date. Shareholders whose names appear in the company’s register at the close of business on that date will be eligible to receive the dividend, in line with Rule 41 of the USE Listing Rules, 2025.
Airtel Uganda has also urged shareholders to update their payment details and contact information to avoid delays in receiving dividends and other shareholder communications.
