Arsenal have finally ended a 22-year wait for the Premier League title after a dramatic final twist in the season, sealing the championship following Manchester City’s 1-1 draw with Bournemouth.
The result left Arsenal top of the table on 82 points, while Manchester City are on 78 points, with both teams having one match remaining.
However, even if City win their final game and Arsenal lose theirs, Arsenal will still remain one point clear, confirming them as 2025/26 champions.
It marks Arsenal’s first Premier League triumph since their famous unbeaten 2003/04 “Invincibles” season, ending more than two decades of near misses, rebuilds, and title challenges that fell short.
The decisive moment came when Manchester City dropped crucial points against Bournemouth, a result that confirmed Arsenal’s four-point advantage going into the final day.
Manager Mikel Arteta has been widely credited for transforming Arsenal into champions, overseeing a long-term rebuild that turned the club from inconsistent contenders into a disciplined, title-winning side.
Arteta’s project, built on tactical structure, young talent, and strong squad unity, has delivered Arsenal’s biggest prize in 22 years, restoring the club’s place at the top of English football.
Arsenal now stand a chance of winning their first-ever UEFA Champions League trophy this season, after booking a place in the final.
The North London club will face French side Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the final scheduled to be played in Istanbul, in what is set to be one of the biggest nights in their history.
