The National Unity Platform (NUP) leader, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, widely known as Bobi Wine, has officially launched his 2026 presidential campaign poster, signaling the start of yet another face-off with President Museveni.
Unveiled Wednesday via his verified social media accounts, the poster introduces a new campaign message: “A New Uganda Now” a rallying call aimed at reigniting his support base as the country edges closer to the polls.
Bobi Wine appears in the poster dressed in a blue suit, red tie, and crisp white shirt the same outfit he donned during the 2021 campaign, reinforcing continuity in his message and symbolism.
While the slogan may have evolved, the core message remains intact. The familiar phrase, “People Power, Our Power,” is still boldly featured, maintaining the movement’s identity and reinforcing its protest vote stance.
On the poster, is the “Protest Vote” phrase reaffirming their plan for the 2026 elections as he has always preached.
Kyagulanyi, who made his presidential debut in 2021, remains the most prominent opposition figure challenging Museveni’s decades-long rule under the National Resistance Movement (NRM).
That election, one of Uganda’s most watched, ended with Museveni securing 58% of the vote, according to the Electoral Commission. Kyagulanyi trailed with 35%, a result he and NUP vehemently rejected, citing rampant electoral malpractice, voter intimidation, and suppression of opposition activities.
