Buweekula has made history by winning the Masaza Cup for the first time, defeating Ssingo 1–0 in a tense and highly-charged final at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo on Sunday.
The decisive moment came in the 16th minute when Alex Talemwa struck the lone goal, sending Buweekula fans into wild celebrations and ultimately sealing a historic victory for the county.
The final was graced by Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, who had just returned from official duties in England.
The Kabaka awarded the champions their trophy amidst loud cheers and jubilation from thousands of supporters who filled the stadium to capacity.
Earlier in the day, Kaggwa beat Bugerere 1–0 scored by their captain Julius Kato in the third-place playoff, earning a cash prize of Shs 7 million for finishing third in the prestigious tournament.
