Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda (CCBU) has launched a new 1-litre Coca-Cola PET bottle as part of efforts to expand its beverage portfolio with a more affordable and shareable packaging option for consumers.
The new pack, priced at Shs2,500, is designed to offer convenience, value, and affordability for families and friends during everyday occasions.
According to Emmy Hashakimana, Managing Director of CCBU, a company under the Coca-Cola Beverages Africa group, the introduction of the 1L PET bottle responds to growing consumer demand for moderately sized and cost-effective beverage options.
“Innovation for us is about offering a range of drink choices for all lifestyles and occasions. The Coca-Cola 1L PET is an innovation built around a clear consumer need, where people want enough to share at a price that feels right,” Hashakimana said.
The resealable PET bottle allows consumers to open, share, and save the drink for later use, reducing the need to purchase multiple smaller packs.
Mary Nassali, Commercial Excellence Director at CCBU, said the new product was developed to deliver value without compromising convenience.
“The 1L PET sits right at the intersection of affordability and value — easy to carry, enough to share, and priced for everyday purchase. That balance is what makes it meaningful,” Nassali said.
CCBU said the introduction of the new bottle reflects the company’s continued focus on innovation and adapting to changing consumer preferences by providing practical and accessible beverage solutions.
