In a heartfelt gesture to mark International Women’s Day, Finance Trust Bank reaffirmed its commitment to community development by supporting vulnerable children at Noah’s Ark Children’s Village Uganda, a home dedicated to physically challenged children.
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, the Bank donated food and essential household supplies valued at approximately shs10 million. The items, including posho, rice, beans, groundnuts, cooking oil, sugar, soya porridge, bread, tissue paper, pampers, and cleaning supplies, aim to bolster the daily nutritional and hygiene needs of the children.
Speaking during the visit, Ms. Annette Kiggundu, Executive Director of Finance Trust Bank, highlighted the importance of supporting women-led initiatives that focus on children’s well-being.
“Children are very delicate members of our society — they need love, care, and a supportive environment to thrive. We deeply appreciate the incredible work being done here at Noah’s Ark Children’s Village to nurture and protect the young lives of these physically challenged children,” Kiggundu said.

She also commended the dedication of Ms. Nakato Angella Hellen, founder and director of the children’s home.
“Today, the home cares for physically challenged children who are deserted by their parents. As a women-led bank, Finance Trust Bank believes in supporting initiatives that resonate with our values of compassion, empowerment, and community development.”
Ms. Hellen expressed gratitude for the Bank’s support, noting that the donations would significantly improve the children’s daily lives.
“It has not been easy, but organisations like Finance Trust Bank empower us to continue our mission, ensuring these children can lead safe and fulfilling lives,” she said.

Finance Trust Bank’s initiative underscores its broader CSR and sustainability agenda, focusing on inclusive development, women empowerment, and community strengthening across Uganda. Through such efforts, the Bank continues to demonstrate its dedication to improving lives and supporting vulnerable groups.
