President Museveni, in his capacity as the commander in chief of the armed forces has appointed Brig Herbert Mbonye as the new police human resource director.
Brig Mbonye’s appointment was announced as part of the reshuffle in the UPDF commanders on Thursday.
He will replace Brig Jesse Kamunanwire who will be retiring from the active service of the UPDF in April.
Brig Mbonye previously served as Uganda’s Defence Attaché in Abuja , Nigeria but had also earlier served as the deputy Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence boss but also in former URA’s Revenue Protection Services.
Brig Mbonye also served as an intelligence officer at the African Union Mission in Somalia(Now ATMIS) but also as the CMI director of operations.
