Manchester City and Manchester United meet on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at 6:30 PM. Ruben Amorim’s revitalized Red Devils will storm the Etihad Stadium to face Pep Guardiola’s stumbling Sky Blues. For fans in Uganda, this action will be streaming live on SuperSport via DStv and GOtv. So, get ready to grab your spot on the couch or favourite bar—no excuses for missing it.
City in Decline
This derby lands at a perfect moment for United. The 2025/26 season’s early weeks have exposed City’s vulnerabilities, with Pep’s once unstoppable juggernaut looking more like a rusty engine.
While they kicked off their English Premier League season with a flashy 4-0 win over Wolves, with new signing Tijjani Reijnders ‘showboating’ on his debut, they have since gone crashing.
A 2-0 home humiliation by Tottenham followed by a shocking 2-1 loss away to Brighton and Hove Albion on August 31 proved that even the mighty can fall.
Guardiola’s side sits on three points after three games, their worst start under Pep.
The Citizens however have something to look forward to. Their new number one, Gianluigi Donnarumma, is tipped for his debut—but if his last performance for Italy against Israel in the nine-goal thriller on Monday 8th August is anything to go by, Man United forwards should feel motivated.
