Local football governing body, FUFA has announced that tickets for the Uganda Cranes World Cup qualifying games against Algeria and Botswana at Namboole will go on sale on Wednesday.

Uganda will next month host Algeria and Botswana in the 2026 FIFA world cup qualifiers.

However, according to FUFA the ordinary tickets for each of the games will go for shs25,000, shs50,000 for VIPs and shs100,000 for the platinum category.

“  There will also be double tickets (One ticket to watch  two games) at discounted prices at shs40,000 ordinary and shs75000 VIP , “ FUFA said.

CAF has finally allowed Namboole stadium to resume hosting international matches.

The stadium named after the late South African freedom fighter and former president, Nelson Mandela had  been closed for over four years to allow for renovations after being deemed unfit to host international games.

The stadium officially opened in 1997 was said to lack standard facilities.

The reopening of the stadium for international games is a sigh of relief for Ugandans who have for four years missed watching their national team play.

Uganda has been hosting its international matches from Morocco.
