The Uganda Vocational and Technical Assessment Board (UVTAB) has announced that the Minister of Education and Sports will officially release the end-of-programme assessment results for the May/June 2025 series tomorrow, Friday, October 17.
According to the UVTAB Executive Secretary, Mr. Onesmus Oyesigye, the results will be unveiled during a ceremony scheduled to take place at 10:00 a.m. at the UVTAB National Skills Assessment Centre, located on Kyambogo Hill.
Mr. Oyesigye revealed that a total of 30,619 candidates sat for the assessments across 499 accredited centres. Of these, 306 centres (61%) were formal Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions, while 193 centres (39%) were informal providers.
The candidate breakdown includes 17,423 females and 13,196 males, reflecting the growing participation of women in vocational and technical education. The assessments were conducted over a six-week period, from May 2 to June 17.
Programmes assessed span a broad range of TVET disciplines, including Technology Education and Training, Business Education and Training, Home Science Education and Training, Sports Education and Training, and Informally Acquired Skills.
“UVTAB remains committed to upholding high standards in the assessment and certification of competencies acquired through both formal and informal TVET pathways in Uganda,” Mr. Oyesigye stated.
