Bond 7 has partnered with Ugandan rapper Feffe Bussi ahead of his upcoming concert celebrating 10 years in the music industry.
The concert, dubbed Hip Hop Kuntiko, is scheduled for May 16 at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala and is expected to celebrate the growth of Luga Flow as one of Uganda’s leading urban music genres.
The announcement was made on Thursday, with organisers describing the event as a milestone not only for Feffe Bussi but also for the wider Luga Flow movement that continues to shape youth culture in Uganda.
Speaking during the launch, Roy Tumwizere, Mainstream Spirits Brand Manager at Uganda Breweries Limited, said the partnership reflects Bond 7’s commitment to supporting authentic cultural expression.
“Luga Flow music is a bond that unites people with shared interests in expression, creativity and love for music,” Tumwizere said.
“Under our current campaign, ‘Our Bond, Our Drink, Our Flow,’ Bond 7 is celebrating such bonds that define consumers’ identity and reflect their aspirations,” he added.
Tumwizere said Feffe Bussi represents values that resonate with the brand and Uganda’s youthful audience.
“Feffe Bussi is a reflection of what we stand for as a brand. His musical and freestyle mastery is a powerful cultural expression that represents the bold and authentic identity of the street-smart youth today,” he said.
Feffe Bussi, whose real name is Frank Mukiiza, rose to prominence through his freestyle rap style and songs such as Who is Who. His latest collaboration, Nzalina, has also gained popularity on local airwaves.
Addressing journalists, the rapper thanked his fans for supporting his career over the last decade and promised an exciting performance at the upcoming concert.
“We are raising the Luga Flow flag higher than ever before,” Feffe Bussi said.
“Hip Hop Kuntiko is going to be one of the biggest music concerts this year and promises a memorable experience, now made bigger and better with support from Bond 7,” he added.
Organisers said the concert is intended to showcase Ugandan talent while providing a platform for the continued growth and commercialisation of Luga Flow music.
The event is expected to attract fans from across the country as celebrations around Feffe Bussi’s decade-long music journey continue.
