Police in Katwe have foiled an aggravated robbery attempt targeting Nesta Petrol Station along Salaama Road in Salaama Parish, Makindye Division in Kampala
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson SP Rachael Kawala, police received intelligence on April 26, 2026, about a planned robbery at the fuel station.
“Police at Katwe have successfully thwarted an aggravated robbery attempt at Nesta Petrol Station, located along Salaama Road in Salaama Parish, Makindye Division, Kampala District,” Kawala said.
She explained that acting swiftly on the information, a police task team was immediately dispatched to the scene, leading to the arrest of three suspects.
“The operation resulted in the arrest of three suspects and the recovery of four pangas,” she added.
Kawala said the suspects are currently in police custody as investigations continue.
She noted that more details will be provided as the inquiry progresses.
