Police have announced a reward of shs50 million for information leading to the arrest of a man suspected to have orchestrated the murder of Entebbe couple found killed inside their house.
Mutaaga David, 69, and his wife Mutaaga Deborah Florence, 62, were discovered dead in their residence on the morning of July 6, 2025.
Both victims had sustained fatal stab wounds, according to preliminary police findings.
The tragic discovery was made after a domestic worker attached to the household alerted authorities of a suspected attack.
The murder sent shockwaves among Entebbe residents and members of the public.
Addressing journalists on Monday, Police spokesperson, Kituuma Rusoke said joint security agencies have made a headway in the ongoing investigations, noting that they recovered an audio recording suspected to belong to the killer.
He however asked members of the public to help identify the person behind the voice.
“We urge anybody who recognizes this voice to come out and help us get him. Through the community, we can zero in on the suspect. The moment you lead us to the suspect or deliver him, she 50 million in cash awaits you. Everybody is called upon to ensure we join the hunt,” Rusoke told journalists.
Sources close to the investigation have told this website that the audio is from the CCTV camera of the deceased couple’s home.
When the suspects broke into the house, they killed the couple before fleeing the scene in what has been reported as a property wrangle between the deceased and family members.
