A 12-member team from the Uganda Police Force has safely arrived in Rwanda to participate in a joint tactical training exercise aimed at strengthening operational skills and regional security cooperation.
The team is led by SSP Tobias Ahumuza, the Commandant Tactical, and will undergo a three-week training program at the Mayange Counter-Terrorism Training Center.
The exercise has brought together participants from six member countries of the Eastern Africa Police Chiefs Cooperation Organisation, alongside teams from Liberia and the Central African Republic.
According to police, the training will focus on tactical drills, assault tactics, obstacle crossing, shooting skills, teamwork, and physical endurance.
Officials say the exercise is intended to improve operational readiness and boost regional cooperation in the fight against terrorism and organized crime through practical and real-world training scenarios.
