Guinness is set to bring the Premier League Trophy to Uganda from October 11 to 13, 2026, as part of a three-country East African tour.
According to Guinness, the Trophy will arrive in Uganda after the Tanzania leg of the tour and will later travel to Kenya. The Ugandan programme will include fan engagements and entertainment activities in Kampala and Entebbe.
The visit is expected to give Ugandan football supporters an opportunity to see the Premier League Trophy in person and participate in activities centred on football, music and local culture.
The tour comes as Guinness continues to expand its football-related activities in Uganda through platforms such as Guinness Matchday and Guinness Matchday on Tour, which bring football supporters together to watch and celebrate Premier League matches.
Guinness is the Official Beer of the Premier League and is undertaking the Trophy tour under its “Lovely Day for Guinness” campaign, with “We Are Extra” serving as its football-focused platform.
The Ugandan leg will also include engagements with selected stakeholders and visits to tourism sites, according to the organisers.
Denise Paula Nazzinda, Senior Brand Manager at Uganda Breweries Limited, said the Trophy tour was intended to provide football supporters with an experience beyond the regular matchday.
“Football in Uganda is a passion that brings people together, creates friendships and gives us moments we remember long after the final whistle. Through Guinness Matchday, we have seen what happens when we give fans a place to celebrate that passion, and this time, we are going Extra,” Nazzinda said.
She added that the programme would incorporate football, music and Ugandan culture as part of the three-day visit.
“We want to make the tour a moment that fans will never forget. We are bringing the Trophy closer to the people who live and breathe this game, creating experiences that celebrate the football, the music, the culture and the extraordinary energy of our fans,” she said.
The Trophy tour forms part of Guinness’ wider football engagement strategy in Uganda, building on its previous matchday activations and other fan-focused activities.
Further details about the specific venues, activities and public access arrangements for the Trophy will be announced ahead of the October visit.
The Premier League Trophy is scheduled to be in Uganda from October 11 to 13, 2026, before continuing to Kenya.
