Desire Luzinda’s glamorous Kwanjula with fellow artist Lucas Lubyogo, a.k.a. Levixone, has sparked renewed controversy after her former lover, Lt Col Juma Seiko, reignited a long-running paternity dispute over her only daughter, Mitchelle Kaddu.
Speaking to Bukedde TV on Wednesday morning, the Gulu-based businessman revealed he was not invited to the ceremony but said he understood why.
“She knows that I have a bond with her. It has nothing to do with love; that chapter was closed, and I wish her good luck with that young man, but I have something to grind with her, and it is affecting me a lot,” Seiko said in a phone interview.
Seiko, who has for years claimed to be Mitchelle’s father, accuses Luzinda of refusing to take a DNA test despite an earlier agreement involving her lawyers.
“She knows that that child is mine. I have pushed her to go for a DNA test. Why has she declined? She refused to bring the girl from school, and yet we had agreed with her lawyers,” he said.
He added that he still has old messages exchanged with Luzinda dating back to 2003 to support his claims, and vowed to cover all costs for the lab procedure.
“That girl is mine, even when you look into her eyes. This will never end. I am waiting for the right time to take action,” he noted.
In 2018, Luzinda ended years of speculation by naming a man identified as Kaddu as her daughter’s father, after initially keeping the paternity secret.
Desire Luzinda and her husband, Levixone, are set to receive the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony on Friday, August 15.
