President Museveni has bid farewell to the outgoing Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Uganda, Vladlen Semivolos, during a meeting at State House Entebbe.
During the meeting, President Museveni and Ambassador Semivolos reflected on the longstanding historical ties between Uganda and Russia, and commended the progress made in strengthening bilateral relations.
The President praised the ambassador’s contribution to enhancing cooperation between the two countries and wished him success in his future endeavors.
“I congratulate you on completing your tour of duty and commend your efforts in ensuring continued warmth and cooperation between our countries and people. I wish you the best in your future endeavors,” President Museveni said.
Semivolos expressed gratitude for the hospitality he received during his tenure, noting that his time in Uganda had been both a privilege and a rewarding experience.
“I take pride in having served in this country and appreciate the support extended in various fields that have benefited both Uganda and Russia,” he said.
