President Museveni has warned opposition National Unity Platform(NUP) that the party is on a self destruction mission if they continue discrediting government programs like the Parish Development Model.
“That’s what NUP has been telling people in Buganda that don’t accept the coffee seedlings from the government, they are bad seeds meant to keep you in poverty. That’s what is going to destroy NUP, you will hear next time, NUP is finished,” Museveni said.
He was speaking as he commenced his Parish Development Model assessment tour in Busoga sub-region.
The president said it is foolhardy for opposition political parties to always criticize and trying to sabotage government programs aimed at benefitting the people instead of drumming support for them.
“Instead of supporting these initiatives, they are attacking and undermining them,” Museveni said.
