Held at Kololo Independence Grounds, the fourth edition of Uganda’s premier motoring experience brought together over 5,000 auto enthusiasts, industry leaders, families, motorsport fans, and key players in the country’s growing automotive sector.
Plascon, a major sponsor and official partner of the show, used the platform to demonstrate its commitment to innovation, quality, and durability in automotive refinishing.
“We are proud to be part of the 4th edition of the Kampala Auto Show, celebrating the spirit of motion, design, and creativity,” said Benjamin Bicung, Marketing Coordinator at Plascon Uganda. “Our automotive range is built for performance and beauty—ensuring vehicles not only look great but are protected against the elements.”
Among the highlights at the Plascon booth was the flagship Plascon Plascryl, a two-component acrylic/isocyanate enamel known for its high gloss finish, fast drying time, and superior weather and chemical resistance, engineered for Uganda’s tropical climate.
Also featured was Plascon Plascryl Thinner, a high-performance aromatic solvent blend tailored for use with Plascryl systems and high-build primers. Plascon Fast Dry, a versatile, quick-drying synthetic enamel, drew attention for its suitability on vehicles, wood, and metal. Visitors also explored Plascon Nitrocellulose Paint, a fast air-drying lacquer designed for automotive refinishing and indoor furniture. Completing the display was Plascon Lightweight Body Filler, a low-density, vacuum-processed filler that offers easy spreading, minimal shrinkage, and smooth sanding on all substrates.

Visitors were guided through technical demonstrations, expert tips, and product samples, affirming Plascon’s positioning as a reliable solution for Uganda’s automotive refinish sector.
The two-day event also featured high-octane drifting showcases, MotoGP stunt performances, and rally car demos, thrilling the crowds and showcasing the strength of Uganda’s motorsport scene.
Motorsport figures like Eric Nuwagaba (popularly known as One Trouble of Tag Racing) and West Da Industrialist praised the Auto Show for its role in uniting sponsors, fans, and athletes. “Events like this help riders like us find sponsors and grow the sport,” said Nuwagaba.
Rally driver Umar Dauda of WRT Rally Team applauded the support shown to MotoGP and drift athletes, urging fellow drivers to reciprocate and help build a stronger, united motorsport community. “Our drifters and riders are our biggest fans—we must support each other to grow the sport,” Dauda said.
As the Auto Show concluded, Plascon’s participation left a lasting impression—not just for its paint innovations, but for its broader support of Uganda’s automotive and motorsport development.
