CFAO Mobility Uganda has officially launched the 19th edition of the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest, inviting children across the country to imagine the future of mobility through creative art.
The international competition, one of the largest of its kind globally, encourages young minds aged 15 and below to design their dream cars and envision how they could shape a better world.
This marks the third time Uganda is participating at the national level, following a successful second edition earlier this year that attracted 271 entries from across the country.
First launched in 2004, the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest is a global initiative by Toyota Motor Corporation that aims to cultivate children’s creativity and interest in innovation.
Since its inception, the contest has received over 10 million entries from 151 countries and regions, solidifying its place as a premier platform for young artists worldwide.

Held under the theme “Produce Happiness for All”, the competition reflects Toyota’s mission to foster imagination and optimism among the youth while building a more sustainable and inclusive future.
According to Isaac Tegule, Marketing Manager at CFAO Mobility Uganda, the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest is more than just an art competition.
“Every great idea begins with a dream, and every dream begins with imagination. For children, drawing their dream car is an expression of hope and courage, a way of shaping how they see the future,” said Tegule.
“Each year with the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest, we not only celebrate creativity but also invest in the next generation. We want children across Uganda to feel empowered to share their vision, to be curious about cars and mobility, and to see Toyota as a brand that listens to and values their ideas. This is how we build stronger connections with our communities while nurturing the innovative spirit that will drive the future.”
Officials said the contest is open to all Ugandan children aged 15 and under, and participants will be grouped into three age categories. Category 1 is for children aged 7 years and under, Category 2 includes those aged 8 to 11 years, and Category 3 is for those between 12 and 15 years of age.

The top three artworks from each age category will be crowned national champions and will go on to represent Uganda in the World Contest to be held in Japan. Global winners will each receive USD 5,000 in prize money, while their schools will receive USD 10,000. Finalists in each category will also receive USD 3,000.
In addition to competing on the global stage, national winners in Uganda will be rewarded with a range of exciting prizes, including framed certificates, school fees support worth shs2 million, shopping vouchers, Paint and Sip Art Sessions, school bags, drawstring bags, branded T-shirts, and Toyota-themed key rings.
The national submission deadline is Friday, February 27, 2026. Entry forms can be downloaded from www.toyota.co.ug or picked up from any CFAO Mobility Uganda branch. Completed entries, along with the entry forms, can be submitted either as hand-drawn originals or as scanned digital artworks in PDF format via email to dreamcar.ug@cfao.com.
