A total of 459 police officers have successfully completed the four-month Basic Counter-Terrorism Induction and Combat Riders Course, Intake 01/2025, at the Police Training School in Ollilim, Katakwi District.
The pass-out ceremony eh9xh took place on Friday was presided over by the Inspector General of Police, Abas Byakagaba, marked the culmination of an intensive program designed to equip officers with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively tackle terrorism and enhance national security.
The training emphasized teamwork, collaboration, and personal discipline, highlighting the critical role of police officers in maintaining not only Uganda’s security but also regional stability.
The program also focused on developing specialized skills in counter-terrorism operations and combat riding, preparing officers to respond effectively to emerging security threats.
The graduation was attended by several senior police officials, including AIGP Moses Kafeero, Director of Human Resource Development; AIGP Wasswa David Ssengendo, Director of Counter-Terrorism; and AIGP James Apora, Director of Logistics and Engineering, among others.
The completion of this course underscores the Uganda Police Force’s commitment to continuous professional development, strengthening operational capacity, and ensuring that officers are well-prepared to safeguard the nation against evolving security challenges.
