The High Court is today Thursday April 30, expected to deliver its long-awaited judgment in the murder case involving four toddlers at a daycare centre in Ggaba, bringing to a close weeks of intense legal proceedings.
The case, which has drawn nationwide attention, revolves around the April 2 stabbing of the children at Ggaba Early Childhood Development Centre.
The deceased were identified as Ryan Odeke, aged one and a half years, Gideon Eteko, aged two and a half years, Keisha Elungat, aged two, and Ignatius Sseruyange, aged two.
The public trial, which has drawn public attention, involves the prime suspect, Christopher Okello Onyum, and has been ongoing for over two weeks, with both the prosecution and defence presenting their arguments.
Presiding judge Alice Komuhangi Khaukha on Friday last week adjourned the matter after a full day of submissions, setting today, Thursday April 30 as the date for the final ruling.
Ugandans, relatives of the victims, are all eager to hear the outcome of the case that has shocked many.
How he accessed the daycare
A day before the attack, Christopher Okello Onyum visited Ggaba Early Childhood Day Care Centre in Makindye Division, Kampala, where he inquired about admitting his child.
When he returned on the day of the incident, he entered the office and paid Shs180,000, posing as a normal parent before carrying out the attack.
