Plascon’s 2024 Paint & Win campaign continues to sweep across Uganda, capturing public attention with its blend of colour, excitement, and life-changing prizes.
Now in its seventh week, the promotion—running under the theme “The Colours of Excitement”—has rewarded dozens of participants, including seven motorcycle winners and hundreds of others who have secured instant prizes at various activation points around the country.
What started as a promotional effort tied to paint purchases has evolved into a spirited national movement, bringing new opportunities and a sense of hope to communities from every region.
Among the many touched by the campaign is Edward Mubiru, a farmer from Lwengo. With limited savings set aside to repaint his ageing home, Mubiru made what he thought was a routine purchase at his local hardware shop.
He hardly noticed the scratch cards attached to his paint tins, nor did he realise that his phone calls were entering him into the Paint & Win draw.
Days later, Mubiru received news he never expected—he had won shs1.6 million. For the father and caretaker, the win meant more than financial relief. It enabled him to clear school fees and reinvest in his farm, easing months of quiet strain.
Stories like Mubiru’s reflect the broader impact of Paint & Win Season 14, which continues to extend beyond colour and branding to genuine community upliftment. Plascon teams have been on the ground across districts, interacting with painters, rewarding dealers, supporting hardware businesses, and giving everyday consumers a chance to win substantial prizes.
At the campaign launch, Plascon Managing Director Santosh Gumte underscored the purpose driving the initiative. “Every tin of Plascon paint is not just colour on a wall,” he said. “It represents happiness, vibrancy, and inspiration—an opportunity for our consumers to feel supported and uplifted in meaningful ways.”
Kyengera-based builder Gerald Mutabazi echoed this sentiment after receiving a cash prize along with a motorcycle. He described the win as a much-needed breakthrough, explaining that the motorcycle will significantly reduce the transport challenges that have long hindered his work while also helping him increase productivity on his small farm.
Across Uganda—from Masaka to Gulu, Arua to Mbale, and Mbarara to Kampala—the campaign has stirred significant excitement. Painters, hardware dealers, and local residents have been flocking to activation sites as weekly draws introduce new winners and new personal journeys.
A major highlight this season is the addition of brand-new Tuk Tuks among the top prizes. Week 6 saw the first handover to Irene Tushabe, who had earlier secured a cash win in the daily draws. Her success has intensified anticipation ahead of Week 10, when the second Tuk Tuk is set to be awarded during the final week of the campaign.

Under the current format, six winners take home shs1 million daily. These six then enter a weekly live draw for a motorcycle. Those who do not win the motorcycle automatically qualify for the grand draw featuring the Tuk Tuk.
So far, more than 42 consumers have received motorcycles or cash, with many more expected to benefit as the promotion extends into more districts.
For businesses like the one owned by David Oyite Oyok in Soroti, the timing of the win is ideal. With the festive season approaching, Oyite plans to reinvest his prize into stocking his shop and supporting his family, confident that the boost will help his business thrive as the year ends.
As Season 14 moves closer to its final stretch, Paint & Win continues to spread excitement and possibility across Uganda—proving once again how a splash of colour can inspire transformation, one winner at a time.
