Police have announced a major breakthrough in the ongoing investigation into the murder of a manager and security guard for a Kampala hotel.
Shivani Asasira, 32 the manager at Dave Hotel and Suites in Mbubi Zone, Lungujja was killed together with the facility’s security guard, Lawrence Musinguzi by unknown assailants on Saturday night , before fleeing with a vehicle found at the facility.
Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson, Racheal Kawala said following intelligence information about the missing vehicle, registration number UBH 633M, police made a raid, leading to the arrest of some suspects.
“Acting on this information, police swung into action and apprehended two suspects yesterday, February 2026, and also recovered the above motor vehicle” Kawala said.
Kawala named one of the suspects as Allan Ssempala but said details surrounding the second suspect will not be divulged now to avoid jeopardising investigations.
She described the breakthrough as being crucial in the ongoing investigation.
